It is good news for poker in Europe PartyPoker and more so poker in France as Everest Poker announced its sponsorship of the 2005-2006 French Poker Tour, a series of live and online poker tournaments culminating in the 20,000 Euro freeroll championship in January, 2006 at the Aviation Club de France in Paris.
"We're extremely excited about this affiliation," said Sandrine Dubois, Everest Poker's French Marketing Manager."
Professional and amateur poker players can qualify for the final in a number of ways.
Live poker tournaments at 15 local clubs throughout France will offer poker players the opportunity to qualify.
The winner of each tournament wins a seat to the Paris final. The first event in Colombes, France on October 9 drew 115 players. Upcoming events take place in Tours, Lyon, Marne La Vallée, Strasbourg and more.
There will also be online freeroll qualifiers at Everest Poker on October 22, November 5, November 19, December 3, December 10 and December 17, 2005. The winner of each freeroll at www.everestpoker.com wins a seat to the Paris final.
And players will be able to qualify through Everest Poker. Qualified players with the most hands played at ring games in each of October, November and December will win a seat to the Paris final.
